Thematic Development of a Panchayat
Gram Sansad enables a Panchayat to adopt a thematic development plan for holistic improvement based on the particular theme of LSDGs. Gram Sansad will capacitate elected representatives and functionaries to deliver on their mandated theme through participatory local planning and interlinkages with related parties and organizations.
Training
Gram Panchayats will be assisted to execute exemplary practices on achieving thematic village goals through different convergent actions. Gram Sansad will demonstrate innovative models, share strategies, approaches, and nurture specialized collaborations to institutionalize theme implementation.
Exposure Visits
The village representatives will be exposed to the good practices adopted and implemented by other Gram Panchayats. Gram Sansad will conduct skill transfer workshops that will provide a platform for the peer learning of Panchayats on various models to institutionalize the process of LSDGs through the lens thematic approach at grassroots level.
Challenge Mapping
Gram Sansad collaborates closely with the rural populations to build an innovative, sustainable livelihood model that addresses the issues they face in a multidimensional manner by inter-linking various aspects of the livelihood value chain instead of having a myopic focus.
Baseline Survey
We as development practitioners are trying to bridge the gap between government schemes and at the grass root levels. In order to make our interventions impactful, we need to know the ground realities which we obtained from the survey.
Recognition
Gram Sansad will rank all the Panchayats based on their performance under each of the 9 LSDG themes. The primary objective through this ranking will be to assess the performance of Panchayats in attainment of SDGs, promote competitive spirit among them and catalyze the process of LSDGs through PRIs for attaining targeted LSDGs goals set by the government.
